FAQ
What is BarkPark?

BarkPark is a 501c3 nonprofit all volunteer organization that was established to raise money for homeless animals. We are open on Saturdays May - October. Plus special events. Our hours are 10am-4pm.

Each Saturday, a different humane rescue organization will set up an awareness table and concession stand to raise funds for their organization. One hundred percent of the money collected through admissions, the table, the dog wash and the concession stand will benefit the rescue of the day. The yearly membership dues are used to fund animal welfare programs.

What are Membership Requirements and Fees?

To qualify for membership your dogs must be spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations and socialized with adults, children and other dogs of all sizes.
BarkPark is not a place to TEST your dog.
You will be required to provide records of vaccinations and spay/neuter from your veterinarian when you apply for membership. Puppies and show dogs are not exempt from these requirements.

We will revoke membership to any dog that shows signs of aggression while in the Park.

The 2006 BarkPark membership fee is $150 per season and $5 each time you enter the park.

I would like to be a BarkPark member.

Where is BarkPark?

The park is at a private home with ten fenced acres to run and play off leash, a half acre pond for the swimmers, an agility course for the experts or novices, and lots of balls, toys and Frisbees for the dogs to enjoy.

For the humans we have a concession stand that sells lunch/snacks/beverages with an eating area that is closed off from the dogs, shaded areas, seating throughout the park, restroom facilities and education tables with information on events that benefit the local rescues, humane issues and animal care information.

We are located near the Columbus Zoo.

What is the BarkPark guest policy?

*You may bring as many guests to BarkPark as you like, but may only bring the same guest two times. This includes guests attending with different members. Guests without dogs may attend with you as much as you like.
*Only a member can register a guest. Please let us know by the Friday afternoon before BarkPark the name of your guest(s) by emailing marcia@barkpark.org
*Guests must sign a release at the check-in desk.
* There is a $5 entry fee for a guest with a dog. Guests without dogs are free.
* You must attend with your guest. You do not need to check in together but must be in the park at the same time. You may not send a guest to BarkPark.
* Guests need to provide up to date vaccination records that must also show proof of spay/neuter. Records can be emailed to marcia@barkpark.org or brought with them.
* No training collars inside the gates or retractable leashes anywhere on BarkPark property apply to guests also. Please inform them of this policy.

Make sure your guests vaccination records meet our requirements. If unsure email us to see if they are OK.
Unfortunately, we have had to turn away many guests that do not have the proper documents.
